Media

Tanner (Hsuan-Jung) Lee is a videographer with six years of experience crafting media of all walks of life across the United States.

Tanner has worked on projects with multinational corporations like the Alibaba Group, Dowstrademus Investment Ltd., and Anker Innovations to nonprofit organizations like the Chinese Railroad Workers Descendants Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Oregon, and Lions Club International.

He has also captured statements with political figures such as Utah Governor Spencer Cox and Chinese Minister Xu Xueyuen, and has also written, edited, and translated screenplays for Playlet Media.

Tanner was the assistant director to “Winter is no more lonely than other seasons,” an award-winning short film portraying the intergenerational rift between a Chinese immigrant mother and her American-born daughter.

Currently, Tanner is directing a short film on grief and longing in the life of an international student. The film is set to release in 2026.

Beyond videography, Tanner is the Co-Chair of the 64th International Affairs Symposium at Lewis & Clark College, the oldest student-run symposium in the United States, an editor for the Meridian Journal of International and Cross-Cultural Perspectives and the Polyglot Magazine, and a journalism intern for The Immigrant Story, a nonprofit organization focused on amplifying migrant voices.
